Items to knit for charity There are a few items to knit for charity that we can never seem to get enough of. Beanies Fingerless Gloves Scarves Tiny Toys/Trauma Teddies Adult Size blankets - especially for the homeless and in muted/dark colors. In view of this, we will be putting together a number of patterns that provide a basis to get you started on these type of items. We will post the patterns here on the site, but if you need printed copies, please let us know. If you are able to print from the site, please feel free to do so, if you are unable to print, we can supply the printed versions, but please remember they cost Admin personally to supply! Our Very First Knit In Public Day

We had a lovely afternoon at the Lakes Entrance Bowls Club for our first Knit In Public day. Nine of us attended, and spent a couple of hours sitting, knitting, crocheting, and chatting over coffee. Lots of laughter and good companionship. Thank you so much to the lovely ladies who joined me today - YOU are what makes this group happen! The staff of the Club made us very welcome - despite our changing from one table to another - they were very helpful and tolerant! I have to say that no matter which group I am with, when we go to the Club we are always made to feel like we have "come home". Staff always greet us, stop for a chat at our table, and go out of their way to make our time with them pleasant and relaxing.
